Will it ever stop raining! I have been out on a few occasions this week and think every session has seen me at some point getting soaked or if not, blown around in the strong winds. It really has been quite miserable. I have not been able to put out the recorder at night due to the winds which is frustrating as no doubt a few good birds might have been missed. Despite putting river cam out most night to try to catch a Beaver swimming up the channel, nothing has passed but I have had more success however with the local Badgers which I have managed to capture on the trail cameras a few times. On the bird front, not that much as changed really with quite a few Chiffchaff now in along with a few more Blackcap. 2 Sedge Warbler are now singing on site and I have heard the Bittern booming early morning from the Stour Valley. 2 Raven are seen on most visits. Add a few Reed Bunting, Yellowhammer and singing Skylark and it's generally quiet. The weekend looks windy but I'm hoping next week, a few more migrants arrive and that the weather allows the recorder to get out at night and that I can actually keep dry during the sessions.
*Evening edit* I went out to Nethergong at 6pm to check the trail cameras and put out my recorder and was pleased to see my first 4 Swallows (96) of the year flying overhead and calling. Spring is here... I think!

    1. Thanks Richard. Yes I managed to find a program which appears to do the job nicely. Take care.
