A couple of early morning visits before work this week to listen for Golden Oriole has so far drawn a blank but a few year ticks were seen including Cuckoo (97), Sedge Warbler (98), Reed Warbler (99), Garden Warbler (100), Common Tern (101), Hobby (102) and Whitethroat (103) on the 8th. Nocmig recording on the 7th May produced 1 Whimbrel (104) over calling during the night and the night of the 8th produced 1 Avocet (105) and 1 Coot.

No. Having watched the area for 9 years, I have had 5 Golden Oriole. Nothing last year but with good habitat and the right conditions, you just never know. A dream pat h bird with an awesome song. Take care.
