A visit over the weekend in quite hot conditions early morning produced the normal variety of species. Birds noted included 1 Turtle Dove, 2 Cuckoo, 1 Swift, 3 Common Tern, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Common Buzzard, 2 Barn Owl, 2 Skylark, 4 Sedge Warbler, 4 Reed Warbler, 5 Swallow, 4 Chiffchaff, 3 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Blackcap, 2 Garden Warbler, 6 Whitethroat, 1 Stonechat, 1 Bullfinch, 1 Linnet, 5 Yellowhammer and 4 Reed bunting. I returned for another evening session with the Barn Owls and although they remained mostly uncooperative, I did mange a few photos. Whilst sat in the hide I also had 2 Raven 1 Turtle Dove, 2 Cuckoo and 2 Marsh Harrier.
