I had a couple of hours in the Nethergong area this morning where I noted 3 Woodcock flying into roost early morning. Also 1 Tawny Owl and 1 Snipe heard in the dark. As the light picked up I saw 30 Mute Swan, 2 Egyptian Geese, 4 Mallard, 1 Pheasant, 4 Stock dove, 10 Woodpigeon, 1 Water Rail, 18 Moorhen, 3 Coot, 1 Snipe, 10 Black headed Gull, 3 Herring Gull, 505 Cormorant out towards Reculver, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Marsh Harrier, 2 Green Woodpecker, 2 Kestrel, 1 Jay, 17 Jackdaw, c80 Rook, 2 Raven, 2 Mistle Thrush (75), 4 Song Thrush, 31 Redwing, 35 Fieldfare, 5 Meadow Pipit, 25 Chaffinch, 2 Linnet, 18 Goldfinch and 1 Reed Bunting.
