I was out early this morning at 05:15 where the wind had dropped considerably compared to the past few days. As the light picked up, I had 2 Tawny Owl calling, 1 Barn Owl, 1 Red legged Partridge and 8 Grey Partridge. I then walked the loop taking in the southern end of Chislet Marshes before walking through to Nethergong and checked the campsite. It wasn't long until the wind soon picked up and eventually, persistent rain arrived. The undoubted highlight was finding a YELLOW BROWED WARBLER near the fishing lake on the campsite. As I was walking by, it gave a brief call thankfully and after relocating it, I spent about 20 minutes obtaining excellent views of this new patch bird. Unfortunately, I had left the camera in the car as it was starting to rain but I managed a video and have taken a sound recording from it. A species I always listen out for every year here but honestly thought I would probably not ever get one here. With the rain now falling heavier, I walked back out on to Chislet Marshes and noted 127 Greylag Geese, 80 White fronted Geese, 12 Mute Swan, 5 Egyptian Geese, 5 Mallard, 1 Pochard, 8 Moorhen, 10 Coot, 1 Snipe, 12 Black headed Gull, 6 Common Gull, 14 Herring Gull, 84 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 3 Marsh Harrier, 3 Common Buzzard, 1 Great spotted Woodpecker and 2 Green Woodpecker. There were 2 Kestrel, 2 Peregrine, 3 Jay, 142 Rook, 2 Raven, 5 Blue Tit, 2 Great Tit, 22 Skylark, 6 Swallow, 7 Cetti's Warbler, 5 Long tailed Tit, 2 Goldcrest, 2 Song Thrush, 8 Redwing, 5 Blackbird, 1 Fieldfare, 7 Robin, 4 Stonechat, 4 Pied Wagtail, 2 Meadow Pipit, 7 Chaffinch, 1 Linnet, 4 Yellowhammer and 6 Reed Bunting.
