Birding around the area this morning from 06:00 until 09:30 in sunny still conditions produced 7 Tufted Duck, 1 Lapwing south, 3 Green Sandpiper flew south calling, 7 Black headed Gull, 7 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Common Buzzard, 3 Great spotted Woodpecker, 4 Green Woodpecker, 2 Kestrel, 2 Jay, 14 Skylark, 5 Sedge Warbler, 4 Reed Warbler, 12 Swallow, 8 Willow Warbler, 4 Chiffchaff, 3 Cetti's Warbler, 5 Long tailed Tit, 2 Blackcap, 5 Whitethroat, 2 Whinchat still in the company of 1 Wheatear, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Stonechat, 6 Linnet, 5 Corn Bunting, 3 Yellowhammer and 5 Reed Bunting. 'Nocmig' recording during the night produced a probable Bittern calling but distant and a Barn Owl was heard. Where are all the waders?
