An early morning session this morning between 4:45 - 10am in sunny calm conditions produced a good total of 55 species seen. Birds of note included 1 Nightingale in song, 1 Barn Owl was seen hunting on a few occasions and passed by quite close on a few occasions allowing me to take a few shots. There were 2 Cuckoo, 8 Common Whitethroat, 2 Grey Heron, 5 Yellowhammer, 2 Kestrel, 3 Common Buzzard, 3 Chiffchaff, 3 Blackcap, 1 Great spotted Woodpecker, 5 Reed Warbler, 2 Cetti's Warbler, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Turtle Dove, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 5 Swallow, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Marsh Harrier, 2 Kingfisher, 5 Swift, 1 Mistle Thrush, 1 Skylark and 2 Reed Bunting.
