With some sunshine forecast for this morning, I arrived at Nethergong at 6am where I spent a few hours walking around hoping to find newly arrived migrants. Although chilly and quite breezy, it was nice just to be out wandering. birds noted included 2 Mistle Thrush, 1 Kingfisher, c10 Chiffchaff, 3 Yellowhammer, 2 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Blackcap, 2 Kestrel, 4 Grey Heron at the lake along with 1 Sedge Warbler (95), 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Common Buzzard, 3 Great spotted Woodpecker, 1 Common Whitethroat (96) sang briefly before moving off east, 1 Greenfinch, 2 Coot, 2 Reed Bunting, 2 Green Woodpecker, 2 Treecreeper and 4 Long tailed Tit. Recording during the night of the 9th produced 2 Little Grebe, 1 Little Owl and 1 Redwing.
