I made visits on both Saturday and Sunday morning to Nethergong to try and push nearer to the 120 species mark. I spent a few hours each morning walking around the site and nearby fields in the hope of finding a few migrants of which there were a few but not the hoped for Flycatchers or Wryneck despite a good amount of suitable habitat. I'm sure if I made visits later in the day that I would be rewarded with a few bonus migrants. Birding highlights this weekend included a Greenshank (119) which was sound recorded early on Sunday morning, 3 Whinchat seen on Saturday with one still around on Sunday morning, 4 Chiffchaff, 1 Reed Bunting, c20 House Martin, c15 Swallow with a few photos taken of a juvenile sat next to a nest, 2 Treecreeper, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Blackcap, 2 Green Woodpecker, 4 Jay, 2 Whitethroat, 2 Buzzard, 2 Reed Warbler, 2 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Yellowhammer, 2 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Mistle Thrush, 1 Kestrel and 1 Sparrowhawk.
