A few visits last week before returning back to work this week produced a few decent birds including 10 Whinchat on the 30th August and 3 Spotted Flycatcher and 5 Whinchat on the 31st August. Nocmig recording at night on the 1st September produced 1 Wigeon (124) flying over not long after I had put the recorder out and the next night produced 1 Ringed Plover. A visit Yesterday (Saturday) produced 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 9 Whinchat, 2 juvenile Stonechat, 2 Grey Wagtail (125), 5 Yellow Wagtail and 4 Yellowhammer and a misty session this morning produced 1 Whimbrel, 1 Snipe, 2 Hobby, 2 Spotted Flycatcher, 4 Whinchat, 1 juvenile Stonechat, 2 Yellow Wagtail and 15 Yellowhammer. It's back to mostly weekends now but weather permitting, I may try and get the recorder out a couple of times during the week in the hope of something good flying over at night.
